Basic Protection

This insurance will protect you against theft or attempted theft of the vehicle, as well as any damage. It’s mandatory, it is often included in rental rates in the UK, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal. In some countries, you may purchase insurance separately or you must be either be covered by your payment card (for US and Canadian residents). This plan gives you partial protection – the excess amount will vary depending on the vehicle category and the country you are renting your vehicle in.

Medium Protection

This will cover your from damage to the windshield, mirrors, headlights and tires, theft and attempted theft as well as protection against damage caused by collision, and injury to both drivers and passengers (except in the UK).  With Medium Protection, the excess amount is reduced.                    

Premium Car Rental Protection

This can only booked for drivers over the age of 26, this is the highest level of insurance. With Premium Protection, the excess amount can be reduced to zero. It covers you from damage to the windshield, mirrors, headlights and tires, theft and attempted theft as well as protection against damage caused by collision, and injury to both drivers and passengers (except in the UK). Certain vehicles have restrictions- so please ask for more information when booking.
